In Uwan's Footsteps
Inspired by the state of Negeri Sembilan
Prof Dato' Fazley Yaakob, Celebrity Chef and Singer
Designed by Prof Dato' Fazley Yaakob, this Bearista is a tribute
to
his cherished roots in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan. Inspired by
his Uwan (grandmother), who once filled the air with the
sweet aroma of traditional kuih (treats) she made and sold in
their hometown, this Bearista carries the essence of family and
heritage.
The lush greenery featured on this Bearista reflects the serene
landscapes of Kuala Pilah, while the Rumah Gadang (traditional
Minangkabau house) is a loving replica of his great
grandmother's home. Every kuih painted is a nod to the very
treats his Uwan lovingly crafted.
